Kühtai Winter Rates 2024/2025

The Kühtai mountain railways will be in operation from Friday, 29.11.2024 and will be open until Monday, 21.4.25. Cable cars: daily from 9:00 to 16:00, lifts: daily from 9:00 to 16:15.

From 7.12.24 to 21.4.2025, the ski passes are valid in the entire Kühtai-Hochoetz ski region. This means that all ski and snowboard enthusiasts have a total of 90 kilometres of pistes in all levels of difficulty at their disposal. More information about the Kühtai-Hochoetz ski pass.

Information on tickets and ticket offices

  • Day and multi-day tickets are available online and from our ticket offices and ticket machines. 
  • You will find our staffed ticket offices (from 9:00 to 16:00) at the DreiSeenBahn, StartBahn, HochAlterBahn and GaisKogelBahn. For discounts (senior citizens/youth/children/disabled persons) please show your ID without being asked, subsequent complaints cannot be processed. We will be happy to advise you!
  • Additional ticket and return machines can be found at the GaisKogelBahn, the HochAlterBahn and the DreiSeenBahn.
  • Online tickets are available here. 
  • KidsKühCards are only available at the 4 ticket offices. StartBahn ticket office: contact point for groups, refunds after accidents and for the purchase of annual and network tickets. 
  • All KühCards are issued on contactless data carriers, € 2.00 deposit. The deposit will be refunded if the card is returned undamaged at the return machines, at the ticket offices, at the Kühtai Tourist Information Centre, in restaurants, hotels and shops in Kühtai or at the ticket offices in Oetz/Ochsengarten. 
  • Advance ticket sales: Also possible on Wednesday and Saturday from 19:00 to 21:00 at the HochAlterBahn ticket office. Please use the advance sale (ticket machines, night skiing or at the hotel) to avoid waiting times the next day. Pay attention to the date at the ticket machines!

    Children born in 2017 and younger receive a free KidsKühCard (€ 2.00 deposit*) when purchasing an adult ticket.

  • Night skiing is included from the 6-day ticket!
  • 15- to 20-day ticket on request
  • Seniors 80+ (born 1945 and older) receive the children's rate on day and multi-day tickets.
  • All discounts only with valid photo ID!
  • Payment for ski tickets: cash (Euro), debit card (Maestro) and credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, V PAY, UnionPay)
  • In the event of a skiing accident, cash reimbursement of the remaining unused days of the multi-day ticket (at the HochAlterBahn ticket office) with a medical certificate.
  • Group discount with advance booking (from 20 people). 1 free ticket for the tour guide and 1 free ticket per 20 people - please contact us at bergbahnen@lifte.at
  • Purchased ski passes cannot be exchanged, changed or returned and are not transferable to other persons.
  • Multi-day ski passes are only valid on consecutive days.
  • Annual passes are valid during operating hours in winter and the following summer.
  • Any misuse will result in the card being cancelled without replacement.
  • Use of the pistes is at your own risk and peril.
  • Piste rescue: The piste rescue service operates up to the medical centre in Kühtai. A fee of € 150.00 will be charged for piste rescue/rescue!
  • We reserve the right to suspend the operation of individual lifts during or at the end of the season due to snow conditions or the cancellation of the ski bus service at the end of the season.
  • In the event of bad weather, departure, illness or injury, suspension of operation of individual lifts, road closure, loss of ski pass, natural disasters or by order of the authorities, etc., no refund will be made.
  • Ascending the pistes on touring skis is not permitted. Use of the piste is limited to the downhill run.

Note on responsibility in all fare networks

The individual services to which these cards entitle the holder are provided by legally independent companies. The operator selling the tickets acts only as an agent for the other operators. Only the respective operator is therefore responsible for the provision of the individual services and for compensation in the event of any incidents.

Upon conclusion of the transport contract, the general terms and conditions Bergbahnen Kühtai  and their display at the ticket offices are deemed to be agreed. Tariffs, operating and bus times as well as printing errors and mistakes are subject to change.

Silz is agreed as the place of jurisdiction for disputes arising from this contractual relationship; Austrian law shall apply exclusively.
