The alpine inn “Sun & Schnee” (“Sun & Snow”) with holiday apartments and rooms is located directly in the ski area at the 4-seater chairlift Hochalter and just across from the Wiesberg lift.

Begin your skiing day with a generous spread at our breakfast buffet, then buckle on your skis and … off you go onto the lifts, whisked in just a few minutes from 2,020 metres up to 2,520 metres, above the clouds. The Ski Arena Kühtai starts right at your front door, permitting you to plunge into skiing enjoyments without a drive or even a walk to the lifts. From every ski run, you arrive back at the front door of the inn.

Our hotel is a very special experience for the young ones in Kühtai. Many different things are on offer, from the ski school to the ski kindergarten to the magic carpet – all of it custom designed for young families, and located right behind the Sun & Schnee Inn – you never even have to cross the street.

Inside the inn is our own à la carte restaurant, a sun terrace stretches out directly in front of it with superb views over the slopes – ideal for a stopover at lunchtime. And after your sporting day draws to a close, unwind in our new relaxation zone: sauna steambath, tanning solarium, cold room with natural snow and a quiet zone with deck chairs and views over Tyrol's grandest peaks. Or else, a bit of activity, perhaps? Fitness, table football, billiards or complimentary Nintendo Wii Sport Resort? All the holiday apartments are completely equipped with kitchenette, fridge, microwave oven, etc. Cable-TV, 2 bathrooms and balconies round out your comfort level. If you are staying in an apartment, you can select whether you would prefer to have a hotel breakfast or provide your own meals – whichever you prefer.

In the evenings, our à la carte restaurant provides outstanding cuisine for your pleasure. Guests also love to visit the sledding and ski huts, snow bars, discotheques and the popular Tyrolean ‚mountain hut‘ evenings!
