Kühtai Winter Rates 2026–2027
The Kühtai mountain railways will be in operation starting Friday, November 27, 2026, and will remain open through Sunday, April 11, 2027. Cable cars: daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; lifts: daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
From December 4, 26, through April 11, 2027, ski passes—starting with the 2-day pass—are valid throughout the entire Kühtai-Hochoetz ski region. This means that all ski and snowboard enthusiasts have access to a total of just over 90 kilometers of slopes of all difficulty levels.

Kühtai-Hochoetz Ski Pass
The Kühtai-Hochoetz ski pass is your ticket to two world-class ski resorts! Experience over 90 kilometers of slopes that guarantee variety, guaranteed snow, and breathtaking panoramic views.
Whether it’s varied runs in Hochoetz or challenging descents in Kühtai at over 2,000 meters—with the combined ski pass, you can decide anew every day how you’ll spend your day on the slopes. And best of all: a free ski bus runs between the two areas every 15 minutes—convenient, fast, and flexible.

Information about Tickets and Box Offices
- You can purchase one-day and multi-day passes online, as well as at our ticket counters and ticket machines.
- Our staffed ticket counters are located (from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) at the DreiSeenBahn and StartBahn. For discounts (seniors, youth, children, and people with disabilities), please show us your ID without being asked; we cannot process complaints submitted after the fact. We’re happy to help!
- Additional ticket and refund machines are available at the GaisKogelBahn, HochAlterBahn, and DreiSeenBahn.
- You can purchase online tickets here.
- KidsKühCards are available only at staffed ticket counters and not at the machines.
- StartBahn Ticket Office: Point of contact for groups, refunds following accidents, and the purchase of annual or network passes.
- All KühCards are issued on contactless cards; €3.00 deposit. You will receive your deposit back if you return the undamaged card to the return machine, at the ticket counters, at the Kühtai Tourist Information Office, at restaurants, hotels, or shops in Kühtai, or at the ticket counters in Oetz/Ochsengarten.
- Advance ticket sales: Also available on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the HochAlterBahn ticket counter. Please use the advance ticket sales options (vending machines, night skiing, or at your hotel) to avoid wait times the following day. Be sure to check the date on the vending machines!
- Children born in 2019 or later (ID required) ski for €2 per day when accompanied by a paying parent in the same ticket category
and receive a KidsKühCard (€3 deposit). - Night skiing is included with 6-day passes and longer!
- 15- to 20-day passes available upon request
- Seniors born in 1952 or earlier receive the children’s rate on day passes and multi-day passes.
- All discounts require valid photo ID!
- Payment for ski tickets: Cash (euros), debit card (Maestro), and credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, V PAY, UnionPay)
- In the event of a skiing accident, upon return of a multi-day pass (at the HochAlterBahn ticket office) along with a doctor’s note, a cash refund will be provided for the remaining, unused days of that pass.
- Group discount for groups of 20 or more with advance registration—please contact us at bergbahnen@lifte.at
- Purchased ski passes cannot be exchanged, modified, or refunded and are not transferable to other persons.
- Multi-day ski passes are valid only on consecutive days.
- Annual passes are valid during operating hours in winter and the following summer.
- Any misuse will result in the immediate revocation of the pass without compensation.
- Use of the slopes is at your own risk.
- On-mountain rescue: Rescue services are provided up to the medical center in Kühtai. A fee of €150.00 will be charged for on-mountain rescue/recovery!
- We reserve the right to suspend operations of individual facilities during or at the end of the season due to snow conditions, or to discontinue ski bus service at the end of the season.
- No refunds will be issued in the event of inclement weather, early departure, illness or injury, suspension of operations for individual facilities, road closures, loss of the ski pass, natural disasters, or by order of the authorities, etc.
- Ascending slopes on touring skis is not permitted. Use of the slopes is limited to downhill skiing.

Adults (born in 2006 or earlier) with a disability of 80% to 100%: Regular price minus 50%
Youth (born 2007–2011) with a disability of 60% to 100%: Regular price minus 50%
Children (born 2012–2018) with 60% to 79% disability: Regular price minus 70%
Children (born 2012–2018) with a disability level of 80% to 100%: Free admission
People in wheelchairs: Free

Note on Liability in All Fare Networks
: The individual services to which these tickets entitle the holder are provided by legally independent businesses. The business that sells the tickets acts on behalf of the other businesses solely as their agent. Therefore, only the respective operator is responsible for the provision of the individual services and for compensation in the event of any incidents.
Upon conclusion of the contract of carriage, the General Terms and Conditions of Bergbahnen Kühtai and their posting at the ticket counters are deemed to have been agreed upon. Fares, operating hours, and bus schedules are subject to change; printing errors and omissions are reserved.
Silz is agreed upon as the venue for disputes arising from this contractual relationship; Austrian law shall apply exclusively.
