General Information About the Kühtai Mountain Railways

OPERATING HOURS

You can find the current operating hours for the mountain railways here for winter and here for summer.

• Single-day and multi-day tickets are available online (www.kuehtai.info/en/winter/ski-pass-prices/) or at the ticket offices of the GaisKogelBahn, DreiSeenBahn, HochAlterBahn, and StartBahn from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Annual passes are available only at the StartBahn ticket office. Annual passes are valid during operating hours in winter and the following summer.

• Advance ticket sales are also available on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the HochAlterBahn ticket office.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Please note that discounts for children, teenagers, and seniors are only available with valid photo ID 
  (showing date of birth). People with disabilities are eligible for discounts if their disability is 60% or higher (with valid ID!).
• All Küh-Cards are issued on contactless cards; a €3.00 deposit is required. You will receive your deposit back if you return the card undamaged to the ticket counters, the Kühtai Tourist Information Office, restaurants, hotels, or shops in Kühtai, or at the lift ticket counters in Oetz/Ochsengarten.
• Purchased ski passes cannot be exchanged, modified, or refunded, and cannot be transferred to other persons.
• Multi-day ski passes are valid only on consecutive days.

GET ADVICE FIRST, THEN BUY

• Any misuse of the passes will result in their immediate revocation without replacement.
• Skiers use the slopes at their own risk.
• In the event of a ski accident occurring after a multi-day pass has been returned, a cash refund will be issued for the remaining, unused days of the pass upon presentation of a doctor’s note.
• We reserve the right to suspend operation of individual facilities during or at the end of the season due to snow conditions, or to suspend ski bus service at the end of the season.
• On-Mountain Rescue: Rescue services are provided up to the medical center in Kühtai. A fee of €100.00 will be charged for on-mountain rescue!
• Payment for ski tickets: Cash (euros), debit card (Maestro), and credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, V PAY)
• No refunds will be issued in the event of inclement weather, early departure, illness, or injury; in the event of the shutdown of individual lifts; road closures; loss of the ski pass; acts of God; or due to official orders (e.g., risk of disease, epidemic, pandemic), etc.
• Ascending slopes on touring skis is not permitted. Use of the slopes is limited to descending.
• The agreed place of jurisdiction for disputes arising from this contractual relationship is Silz; Austrian law shall apply exclusively.
• Note regarding liability in all fare networks: The individual services to which these passes entitle the holder are provided by legally independent businesses. The business selling the passes acts on behalf of the other businesses solely as their agent. Therefore, only the respective business entity is responsible for providing the individual services and for compensation in the event of any incidents.

Upon conclusion of the contract of carriage, the general terms and conditions are deemed to have been agreed upon. Subject to changes in fares, operating hours, and bus schedules, as well as typographical errors and omissions.
