Kühtai: A Backcountry Skiing Paradise

Guaranteed snow, excellent tourist infrastructure, and easy access from Innsbruck make the Sellraintal Valley and Kühtai a popular ski touring destination for visitors and locals alike. Located just about 35 minutes from Innsbruck and its international transportation links, Kühtai sits at 2,020 meters above sea level, in close proximity to numerous ski touring destinations. Excellently groomed slopes and a diverse range of recreational activities further enhance the ski touring experience in Kühtai.

Sulzkogel (3,016 m)

A mountain with many highlights. Caution: There is a particular risk of avalanches in the afternoon on the section of the route along the reservoir.

Pirchkogel (2,828 m)

Easy ski tour. Take the KaiserBahn up, then continue on to the Pirchkogel. Please check the avalanche risk and do not underestimate it.

Schafzoll (2,394 m) and Vordere Karlesspitze (2,569 m):
Two interesting, short, yet quite challenging ski tours.
