Winter Hiking in Kühtai
Whether the sun is shining or snowflakes are falling, a stroll or a short hike through the enchanting winter landscape is simply wonderful. Kühtai is the perfect place for that, too. A well-organized network of trails makes it easy to choose your route. With trails of varying lengths, we’ll guide you to tranquil spots and stunning viewpoints.
Hiking Trail to the Graf Ferdinand Haus
Starts at the DreiSeenBahn valley station; walking time to the Rodelhütte is about 40 minutes; length: 2 km. Refreshments available at the Graf Ferdinand Haus.
Zirmbach Hiking Trail
From the Tourist Information Office or the HochAlterBahn parking lot, walk past the WunderTeppich toward Innsbruck to the Zirmbachalm (unmanned). Length: approx. 5.7 km.
Emperor Franz Joseph Trail
From the KaiserBahn valley station, walk about 3 km through a beautiful Swiss stone pine forest toward Oetz, passing under the underpass. Walking time: about 1 hour. No places to stop for refreshments; turn back at the turnaround point!
Knappenweg
From the fire station in Kühtai, the trail climbs gently, goes through the ski slope tunnel, then descends slightly to the toboggan run. Alternative route: continue along the hiking trail to the Graf Ferdinand Haus (place to stop for a break). Length: approx. 0.8 km.
