Mountain Bikes & E-Bikes
Whether with electric assistance or under your own power, there are many ways to explore the region around Kühtai. This allows riders of different fitness levels to ride together—always with the panoramic view of the Sellrain Mountains in sight.
A well-known route is the Sellrain–Kühtai–Oetz leg of the Bike Trail Tirol: about 35 kilometers long, with the highest point in Kühtai at 2,020 meters, followed by a descent into the Ötztal valley.
Road Bike: Kühtai High Alpine Road
The Kühtai High Alpine Road is a classic route for road cyclists.
Starting in Kematen or Oetz, it leads to the pass summit in Kühtai—featuring long climbs, steep gradients, and breathtaking views. The road is toll-free and does not require a vignette.
Kühtai Rodeo
For anyone looking for a real endurance challenge, the Kühtai Rodeo is the ultimate route: 122 kilometers and about 4,250 meters of elevation gain.
The race starts in Kematen, Oetz, or Haiming—and participants will conquer Kühtai several times along the way.
