The “Kühtai Rodeo” is a challenge in its own right and for anyone who wants to test their physical endurance and mental toughness—and it’s always the perfect preparation for the Ötztaler Cycling Marathon!

The Kühtai Rodeo features three starting points from which riders set off on the same day.

  1. from Kematen
  2. from Ötz
  3. from Haiming

From these points, riders reach Kühtai by road bike—a true challenge, because no matter where you start, Kühtai is considered one of the toughest mountain routes around Innsbruck.

Once you’ve completed the route starting from Kematen, the Rodeo continues over the Sattele pass to Haiming and from there back over the Sattele pass. This is followed by the second descent to Ötz, from where the route heads back to Kühtai. The finale is the thrilling descent down to Kematen.
