Mittergrathütten

The Mittergrathütten are located 42 km from Innsbruck at an elevation of 2,000 meters, not far from the winter sports resort of Kühtai, at the mouth of the “Mittertal”—a high-alpine valley—in a clearing surrounded by a Swiss stone pine forest. Direct vehicle access to the huts is not possible. The fenced-in parking lot is located next to the Kühtai state highway; from there, luggage is transported via a cargo cable car. The ascent takes 15–30 minutes, depending on your fitness level, and follows a 3-meter-wide path with a maximum gradient of 18%.
